What is hybrid enamel?
When an enamel pin has multiple types of fills it is colloquially called hybrid. Most pins are: all metal (die struck or 3d), metal with print and epoxy, soft enamel (low fill paint, creating lots of texture in the metal line peaks and valleys), or hard enamel (paint fills to match the metal lines). There are many different effects one can do with each type of pins, and some effects are restricted to one type.
Hybrid enamel pins use a combination of soft, hard, and bare metal effects to make a more dynamic design.

How do you manufacture your items?
Pins are manufactured overseas and imported.
Stickers, apparel, and prints are produced by an assortment of small businesses local to me.

How do you handle shipping outside the USA?
I understand shipping internationally can be expensive, and will do my best to reduce whatever costs I can on my end while also ensuring your package arrives safely. Please see the shipping estimate chart in the main campaign to get an idea of what to expect.
I can ship outside the USA to many countries, keep in mind VAT and or other fees will also need to be collected. For some countries I cannot collect VAT/custom due for you, so you will need to pay that on post collection. I will not adjust the value on a customs form to avoid a charge for you.

What happens if there is a delay in production?
Production hiccups and other delays do happen, and I promise to be upfront about situations when or if they come up. One reason I started ordering samples before a campaign was so I could address the most common problematic issues, such as color mismatches, fine details in the metal or screenprints, or uneven anodizing, before full production begins. By putting these checks in place production rolls out more smooth, or I’m less likely to need a reprint/replacement for hundreds of units.
The real trick is finding the balance between being informative, timely, and spamming updates.

What is your refund policy?
As the funds here go toward production, I do not offer refunds.
But if your reward(s) arrive damaged, do not hesitate to reach out to me so I can facility an insurance claim and replace your order.

What is the current stage of production?
I have the Green Beer Dragon pins in hand with final colors chosen.
Currently Stout and Amber Ale samples are being produced (Stout is almost complete). and I plan to make an initial order of Mango and Hawaiian Hibiscus after the first two weeks of the survey going live. The other designs will be ordered about two weeks after that so I get solid numbers first. (The freebie pins initial orders are based on the number of cross-backers + an amount for the pre order store, etc, and can be added on if needed. Other numbers are more hazy.)
Stickers will be ordered in August, along pin banner orders.

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
Refunds are highly discouraged as the bulk of orders are of enamel pins which require full funding before I can order any amount, so within a short time of your order that money has gone toward funding or shipping to me for fulfillment.
